Directors


Director: Stacy Burnham

Stacy is a native Houstonian. She is a graduate of Stratford High School where she was a member of the Spartanaire dance Team and served as an officer for two years. She then graduated from Southwest Texas with a degree in dance education. While at SWT she was a member of the SWT Strutter dance team. Stacy served as Head Captain for three years. During her time as a Strutter she traveled with the team to Australia, China, England, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Russia, Sweden, and Turkey, where she performed for many dignitaries and served as an ambassador for the state of Texas. She also traveled to Las Vegas where she studied hip-hop and jazz under Wade Robson and Dan Karaty.

Stacy started her career as the director of the Caney Creek HS Starlettes where she led them to their first National title. She is the founder of the KCHS Tiger Belles and has been their Director for the past 8 years. She also started the dance program at Klein Collins and continues to teach three dance classes a day along with three Belle classes.

Stacy has been a member of the Texas Dance Educators Association for the past 13 years. She was named “Who’s Who Among American High School Teachers”. More recently she was named to the National Honor Roll for Teachers.

Stacy loves being a teacher and dancing.

Assistant Director: Rebecca Karl

Rebecca Karl is a native Houstonian. She is a graduate of Caney Creek High School in Conroe ISD where she was a four year member of the Starlettes dance team. Rebecca served as Starlette Captain both her junior and senior year. Rebecca went on to Texas State University in San Marocs , TX to further her education in dance. She was a member of the Texas State Strutter’s dance team for four years. Rebecca served as a Strutter Lieutenant her sophomore and junior year, and then she had the honor of becoming Strutter Head Captain her senior year. Rebecca has traveled and performed with Strutters in Greece, Italy, Rome and Paris. She also performed with Strutters in 2008 on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” where they advanced to the semi-finals. Rebecca spent her first year teaching and directing at Santa Fe High School in 2009-2010. Rebecca is currently one of the dance teachers at Klein Collins High School. She is also the Asst. Director of the Tiger Belles Dance/Drill team. Rebecca is very passionate about dance and she hopes to share that passion with her students!
